Explore the the river’s whitewater from the seat of a raft with your fellow community members.
This discounted raft trip is only available for local residents and will fill up fast! We will determine which river stretch once safety and access has been properly evaluated.

Removing the Dam and Restoring the River
Many steps must be taken to assist a river to return to its natural state. Learn from the organizations and agencies that are helping make the restoration of the White Salmon River such a successful process.

In-River Work Update
PacifiCorp has removed the structure formally known as Condit Dam and has moved on to extracting a river-wide logjam in the Narrows below the dam site. The jam is a hazardous obstruction to boaters, and has been evaluated as having little to no benefit for spawning salmon. They hope to have it fully removed by next week.
Stay tuned for annoucements on the official opening of the river, which will happen a week or so before our big celebration event. Of cousre, we invite all river recreation users - private kayakers and rafters, commercial rafters and sport fisherman - to spend the morning of Saturday, September 29th enjoying the river.
Parking
Due to limited parking at the event site (Northwestern Park) a shuttle service will be offered throughout the day from the town of Husum. Please arrive before 2pm and park at Wet Planet, River Drifters, Husum Fire Hall or in the public access area. You wouldn't want to miss any of the action down at the park!
